In an absolutely brutal takedown of Nicola Sturgeon, Scottish Labour MP Ian Murray unleashed a damming video on Twitter bringing together the First Minister’s appeals for voters to “judge her” on her performance on education. The Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland ridiculed Ms Sturgeon’s track record in Scotland branding it “a fail”. The video repeatedly tears apart the First Ministers ‘judge me on education’ claims and is accompanied by a ticking clock and then an alarm to emphasise her time is up.
Accompanying the damming video the MP for Edinburgh South said: “The once world-leading Scottish education system is plummeting down the world rankings below Slovenia.
“It is also below England for the first time.
“Widening attainment gap, fewer teachers, less spend per pupil. It’s a FAIL.”
The brutal video repeatedly tears apart the First Minister’s claims that she puts education first while footage from several televised reports cast doubts on her claims.

At one point in the video, a statement reads “she has failed to close the gap” and goes on to list off the shocking result of the SNP on kids learning.
One statement interjects after another claim from Ms Sturgeon about how important education is, reading “Even worse, she marked-down poor kids exams.”
It is followed by ‘….for no reason other than they were poor.’
The video ends with the statement ‘she has had 15 years. She has failed’ and then an alarm clock sounds indicating her time is up.

The Alba Party seeks to form a supermajority of Scottish independence in Holyrood.
But support for Scottish independence has never risen above 56 percent and has fallen behind support for the UK in a string of recent opinion polls.
Ms Sturgeon lashed out at Boris Johnson accusing him of “economic vandalism” by leaving the EU transition period at the end of last year.
The First Minister criticised the Westminster Government for forcing a “hard Brexit” upon Scotland which voted to remain a part of the single market in 2016.
