‘I would do anything to bring (him) back,’ she told the Herald Sun. ‘I will make sure our babies never forget who you are and I know they will live on in you.

‘This isn’t fair. We love and miss you so much. I hope [the killer] rots in jail and gets everything he deserves.’

Earlier Ms Kerr confirmed the grim news of Brown’s death on social media, sparking an outpour of tributes online.

‘You were such a sweet, funny, cheeky young boy who was loved by lots of us,’ one person wrote.

‘Being in (your) class (at school) was pretty great and amusing too! Rest in peace dude.’

Another woman wrote Brown would be ‘missed by so many and in so many ways’, while a third person posted they would ‘never be the same over this’.

A crime scene was established outside the Henry Street home on Tuesday afternoon as officers searched the area for clues.
