A social media influencer has vowed to steer clear of a busy pub after claiming he was only allowed into the venue when a bouncer realised he is popular on TikTok.

Former professional soccer player, Daniel Olaniran, from the UK, said security at Sydney’s Coogee Pavilion initially refused entry to him and a group of male friends on Sunday night because there were too many men already inside.

Mr Olaniran and his party watched in disbelief as group after group of women were allowed inside.

‘As we were walking in the bouncer goes goes “nah cuz, not coming in”,’ he recalled.

‘I said “why? We’re just going in, have a few drinks or whatever. He goes “nah cuz, not rolling in”.

‘Why not? “Just too many guys”.

‘[The bouncer] starts being aggressive and rude and almost like pushing, trying to manoeuvre us away from the area. I’m thinking bro, are these guys really serious?’

After he claimed the venue’s security staff were aggressively blocking his group, Mr Olaniran said its head of security did a backflip.

He offered the influencer access – but only after seeing women asking him for a photo because they recognised him from his @Olantekkers TikTok videos.

Olantekkers has 248,000 TikTok followers.

‘He goes “show me your ID and go upstairs”.

Mr Olaniran claims he refused the belated offer because he didn’t want to be allowed in for his social media following.

‘Bro, I’ve never been more angry in my entire life.’

‘I’d never, ever do that. So it was very weird to me, for them to be like, ‘Oh, you have this following? OK, you can come in,’ he told Nine Honey.

‘I’m not entering Coogee pav for an extremely long, extensive period of time.’

Mr Olaniran said he was still ‘vexed thinking about it, adding he’d told friends ‘I’ve never had a bad night there in my entire existence’.

He has posted several times about the Coogee Pavilion including shooting popular videos there.

Daily Mail Australia approached Olantekkers and Merivale, which owns Coogee Pavilion, for comment.
