Three people are killed in horror head-on crash on a remote stretch of highway

A head-on crash on a rural highway has killed three people in NSW’s central west region. 

The head-on collision on the Mid Western Highway near Cowra occurred about 4pm on Thursday, police said.

‘Two people travelling in one vehicle, and one person in another vehicle, died at the scene,’ a statement read.

Crash investigators attended the scene and traffic was disrupted for hours after the crash.

Emergency services reported that the collision happened 35km from Cowra near the centre of Woodstock.
