Three mass vaccination hubs open in Victoria to speed up vaccine roll out

How to check if you are eligible for the vaccine:

The Department of Health has introduced a Covid-19 Vaccine Eligibility checker to find out when you can receive either the Pfizer or AstraZeneca jab during the government’s planned vaccine rollout.

You will be required to answer the following 11 questions:

  • Your age
  • What state you live in
  • Do you work in one of the following high risk industries?
  • Are you a residential aged care or disability care worker (excluding community and in-home care staff)?
  • Are you a resident of an aged care or disability care facility?
  • Do you work in one of the following critical or high-risk industries?
  • Do you work in healthcare, aged care or disability services?
  • Are you a person with significant disability?
  • Do you have an underlying medical condition?
  • Are you a carer or support volunteer for someone who is aged, with an eligible disability or an underlying medical condition?
  • Are you Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander?

What to do if you are eligible for the vaccine?

If you are a disability or aged care worker and have already had your first dose, you should receive your second dose through the same workplace.

Disability and aged care workers that are eligible for Phase 1A, can access vaccines through Phase 1B services – such as GPs and GP-led Respiratory Clinics.

Aged care workers can also access commercial Aged Care worker hubs to receive the vaccine.

You can alternatively book to have your vaccine at a registered clinic. It is recommended to return to the same clinic for your second dose.

For Victoria’s three new mass vaccination hubs – The Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and Geelong’s former Ford factory – no booking is required but identification is needed to prove eligibility
