A $35million Lotto jackpot has been won by a ten-member syndicate from the Top End who have shared their plans for the fortune.
The group from the town of Humpty Doo in the Northern Territory discovered they are each multi-millionaires after holding the only winning ticket in last night’s Oz Lotto Division One draw.
One syndicate member was completely unaware of her win until a lottery official called her on Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson for The Lott urged people to register their tickets to a player card or make an online account so they could be contacted immediately
‘Oh my god. My goodness, I never thought I would receive this call. It couldn’t have come at a better time. Maybe I can buy myself a new house,’ the stunned winner said.
Another member of the syndicate, which has only been running for a few months, said she almost did not buy her winning ticket.
‘Are you kidding me? I am going to upgrade my car and I want to travel around the whole world,’ she said.
‘I can’t believe I am a multi-millionaire! I don’t think I will ever stop crying. I need to compose myself.’
The group, in addition to winning the division one prize, also picked up the division three 21 times, division five 63 times and division six 35 times – bringing the total win to $35,093,777.25.

Each of the 10 syndicate members will become an instant multi-millionaire, receiving $3,509,377.73 each.
The winning number from draw 1417 were: 7, 45, 34, 23, 33, 30, 36 and the supps were: 16 and 40.
The Oz Lotto $35million jackpot had swelled in size after no winners were found in recent weeks.
Lauren Cooney, a spokeswoman for the Lott, urged anyone who had a ticket to ensure that Oz Lotto were able to contact them so they didn’t miss out.
‘My tip for anyone buying an entry is to register your tickets to a player card or online account, that way we can reach out to you straight after the numbers are drawn to confirm that great life-changing news.’
