A teenage boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed in a row allegedly over his Apple AirPods and police found a knife with an eight-inch blade at the scene.
The 16-year-old boy is believed to have been stabbed during a fight which broke out between a number of boys in Mount Avenue, Brentwood, yesterday afternoon.
He was treated by paramedics in nearby Roundwood Avenue at around 4.30pm before being rushed to hospital, Essex Police said.

A neighbour, who didn’t want to be named, told The Sun: ‘I heard a 16 year old boy had been attacked for his AirPods.
‘It’s terrifying, every mum’s worst nightmare.’
The force is now appealing for witnesses of the incident, with one of the suspects described as wearing a black jacket and jogging bottoms.

‘Officers were called at around 4.30pm today, Sunday 21 March following reports a teenage boy had suffered stab injuries in Roundwood Avenue, Hutton.
‘The boy is believed to have been injured after a fight broke out between a number of boys in Mount Avenue, Hutton near to the junction with Hutton Gate.
‘During the altercation the teenager was stabbed.
‘The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene and has now been taken to hospital.’
