‘I’m six now, I’ll do what I want’: Prince William reveals feisty Princess Charlotte is ‘growing up fast’ and tells anyone who asks that she’s 16!

Princess Charlotte has only just turned six but she already has plenty of confidence and a cheeky attitude to match.
Her father Prince William, 38, revealed the feisty schoolgirl says she is ’16’ when asked how old she is and says: ‘I’m six now. I’ll do what I want’.
Speaking on an engagement in the West Midlands yesterday, William also revealed and Kate Middleton, 39, hosted a small garden party to mark their daughter’s sixth birthday on Sunday, inviting ‘one other family’ to celebrate.
Government guidelines allow two households to gather outside, meaning the Cambridges would have been allowed to host another family in their garden at Kensington Palace.

When asked whether Charlotte had a ‘lovely birthday’, William replied: ‘She did thank you very much, yes.
‘Unfortunately for her obviously last year there was no birthday party because of lockdown but this year (we had) one other family, so that was it.
‘So it wasn’t a party as such but we made it as fun for her as possible.’
Prince William later joked ‘if you ask her, she says she’s 16… Charlotte says, “I’m six now, I’ll do what I want”.’
He added: ‘They grow up very fast’.
Princess Charlotte, the second of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s three children, turned six on Sunday.

Kensington Palace released a portrait of the smiling princess to mark the occasion.
Prince William was speaking on a visit to the staff at Babcock International Vehicle Engineering, in Wallsall, which kept production up during the pandemic by adopting Covid 19 safe systems. It had a lead role on the design for ventilators for the NHS.
Prince William also met Aston Villa players during a visit to open the team’s new state-of-the-art high performance centre.
The Duke of Cambridge, 38, who has supported the Birmingham-based team since childhood, was seen chatting and laughing with players at the training ground in Warwickshire.

A beaming William heard about the Premier League club’s community outreach programme and the work they’ve done during the pandemic.
The father-of-three was the guest of honour as the ribbon was cut on the new £6million facility at Bodymoor Heath Training Centre in Bodymoor Heath.
He heard how the club has opened its facilities for antenatal clinics, run by the Birmingham and Sandwell NHS Trust, while also meeting representatives from Villa Kitchen, which provides 1000 hot meals each week for local organisations.
William, sporting the club’s colours in a navy suit and claret jumper, along with a blue mask, appeared in great spirits as he chatted to first team players, such as captain Jack Grealish, while at the grounds.
