Prince Harry gets job at San Francisco-based mental health firm Better Up

Prince Harry gets job at San Francisco-based mental health firm Better Up: Duke will be Chief Impact Officer for company that provides coaching to US corporations from Hilton to Chevron

Prince Harry has got a job as an executive at a Silicon Valley startup focusing on coaching and mental health.

The Duke of Sussex will be unveiled later today as the chief impact officer at BetterUp.

The 36-year-old told the Wall Street Journal: ‘I intend to help create impact in people’s lives.

‘Proactive coaching provides endless possibilities for personal development, increased awareness, and an all-round better life.’

The role will see the Prince weigh in on product strategy, charitable contributions and speak about mental health.

He will not be in charge of other workers or handle reports directly, but will go to San Francisco when Covid is over.

His latest title is rare, with few corporate companies having such positions. It is more often used at nonprofit firms.

BetterUp CEO Alexi Robichaux, who met Harry through a friend last year, said: ‘It’s a meaningful and meaty role.’

The businessman would not be drawn on how much the Duke will earn and did not reveal details of his employment.
