New coronavirus restrictions have been enforced in Byron Bay as New South Wales recorded one new case.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced new rules for the far northern NSW holiday hotspot and the surrounding Ballina, Tweed and Lismore areas after one new case linked to the Brisbane cluster 

New restrictions including a maximum 30 people in homes, four square metre rule in venues and mandatory masks in shops, transport and taxis.
