Mobile speed camera gets bogged in mud in Western Sydney

Satisfying moment a man taunts mobile speed camera car after it gets bogged in mud

  • A motorist recorded the incident and uploaded the clip to TikTok on Friday
  • Social media users were in stitches believing it was the ultimate act of karma

A motorist has filmed the moment a mobile speed camera got bogged in muddy ground and was unable to move.

Hilarious footage uploaded to TikTok shows the 4WD stuck in waterlogged lawn near Minchinbury in western Sydney.

However, instead of helping the camera operator, the motorist filmed the stricken vehicle and posted it online.

Social media users were left in stitches after witnessing the bogged driver receive the ultimate payback.

‘If there’s one car that deserves to be bogged,’ one wrote.

‘Not a chance in the world would I help,’ another commented.

‘Please tell me you helped him out NOT,’ a third added.

Others joked the mobile speed camera may have been doing burnouts on the patch of grass before becoming stuck.

Mobile speed cameras have come under fierce criticism for being set up in ‘peculiar locations’ and lack of signage.

The NSW Government announced in November 2020 that the warning signs for mobile speed cameras would be removed.

However, it backflipped and in August reinstated fixed warning signs near speed cameras.

The partial backtrack came after a surge in drivers being fined for going less than 10km/h over the limit, with areas of western Sydney and regional NSW bearing the brunt.
