Mitch McConnell struck a pose with two famous wresters in his home state of Kentucky as his personal showdown with former president Donald Trump rages on.

The House Minority Leader stopped by WKYT studios in Kentucky on Wednesday to meet pro fighters Mr. PEC-Tacular and Luscious Lawrence.

The wrestlers were recording promos for Ohio Valley Wrestling when they ran into McConnell, according to Kentucky Sports Radio.

‘With @LeaderMcConnell and @TheLusciousBaby at the studios of my CBS’ @WKYT fam. #STOKED,’ Mr. PEC-Tacular wrote on Twitter.

In the photo McConnell is seen dressed in his usual coat-and-tie – dwarfed by the massive men showing off their muscles on either side of him.

McConnell may need the wrestlers to serve as bodyguards as his feud with Trump continues unabated.

Earlier in the day Trump targeted McConnell in a fiery statement regarding the political consequences fellow lawmaker Liz Cheney is currently facing.

‘Had Mike Pence referred the information on six states (only need two) back to State Legislatures, and had gutless and clueless MINORITY Leader Mitch McConnell (he blew two seats in Georgia that should have never been lost) fought to expose all of the corruption that was presented at the time, with more found since, we would have had a far different Presidential result, and our Country would not be turning into a socialist nightmare! Never give up!’ Trump said.

It marked the latest escalation of tensions between the pair, which reached a boiling point on January 6th when McConnell spoke from the Senate floor to decry members of his own party who raised objections to the certification of the election results on Trump’s behalf.

‘Nothing before us proves illegality near the massive scale that would have tipped the entire election,’ McConnell said.

‘The voters, the courts, the states – they’ve all spoken. They’ve all spoken. If we overrule them, it would damage our republic forever. This election was actually not unusually close. Just in recent history, 1976, 2000 and 2004 were all closer,’ he added.

McConnell also said the former president was ‘practically and morally responsible’ for the events at the Capitol in January.

Since McConnell seemingly betrayed Trump, the former president has had little issue going after the senator.

During an April speech at a Republican National Committee gathering at his Mar-a-Lago Club, Trump called McConnell a ‘dumb son of a b****.’

‘If that were Schumer instead of this dumb son of a b**** Mitch McConnell, they would never allow it to happen,’ Trump said about the election certification process. ‘They would have fought it.’

According to The Washington Post, Trump also insulted McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, and called McConnell a ‘stone cold loser’ during the speech.

‘I hired his wife. Did he ever say thank you?’ Trump said of Chao. ‘She suffered so greatly.’

McConnell was not present at the speech and he has told advisers he has no plans to speak to Trump again.

That didn’t prevent Trump from striking at McConnell again last week during comments to the Fox Business Network.

‘We need good leadership. Mitch McConnell has not done a great job,’ Trump said, according to Reuters. ‘I think they should change Mitch McConnell.’

McConnell responded by saying, ‘We’re looking to the future, not the past.’
