Missing five-year-old girl is finally found by Queensland police – after she was taken in a black car last night
- Search launched for a five-year-old girl missing near Brisbane on Wednesday
- Girl went missing from Kingston, in Brisbane’s south-east, around 5.15pm
- An amber alert was issued later that night, girl eventually located on Thursday
A five-year-old girl who was missing south of Brisbane has been located by police.
The girl went missing from Wilde Street at Kingston around 5.15pm on Wednesday evening.
An amber alert was then issued over fears she may be at significant risk.
Queensland Police have confirmed the youngster is now safe and well.
‘The Queensland Police Service have located the 5-year-old girl who was missing from Kingston overnight and subject to an Amber Alert,’ a statement read.
‘Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.’
The girl went missing from Wilde Street at Kingston in Brisbane’s south around 5.15pm on Wednesday – she has since been located
On Wednesday just after 5pm, the young girl was seen being put in a black Toyota Aurion with Queensland registration 982DA3 by a man known to her.
The car was being driven by another person and left the street.
The man left the area on foot and has been assisting police with their inquiries.
The child was believed to be in the company of Kaitlyn Compton, who was also known to her.
