Two women told CNN they regularly partied with Gaetz at drug, sex and booze-fueled bashes over the past few years, and that they would often receive payments the following day for sex with people at the events.
The latest claims come as the congressman’s past behaviors and endeavors have increasingly come under the spotlight in recent weeks, after it emerged he is under investigation by the Justice Department for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old girl and trafficking her across state lines.
Gaetz has repeatedly denied having sex with a 17-year-old and said he has never paid for sex.
In a bizarre twist in the saga, the lawmaker has instead claimed he is the victim of an elaborate extortion plot by a former Justice Department official seeking to free an American hostage from Iran.

The two women, who spoke to CNN on condition of anonymity, said Gaetz was a regular fixture at the parties where the guestlist read like a who’s who of Florida Republican officials.
The women said they would arrive at the gated community in the suburbs of Orlando and were told to put away their cellphones for the duration of the visit so they could not document what went on.
Once inside, the women described nights fueled by champagne, cocaine and ecstasy, and sex, with money changing hands the next day.
One woman told the outlet Gaetz behaved like a ‘frat type of party boy’ at the parties, where he would like to discuss politics and was seen taking mystery pills on more than one occasion.
‘No one ever wants to stop partying, stop drinking, once you’ve had a few glasses of champagne in you,’ one woman said.

The woman told CNN she was paid for sex after some of the parties by Joel Greenberg, the disgraced former Seminole County tax collector in prison awaiting trial on 33 counts including sex trafficking a minor.
Greenberg has been cooperating with federal prosecutors since last year, a report revealed Tuesday – days after his attorneys said he was willing to reach a plea deal.
The woman would not reveal who she had sex with at the parties but did say she had never received money directly from Gaetz.
Many of the partygoers would often show up to the parties still dressed in formal wear after coming straight from a political event that day.
Other events were smaller affairs taking place in private hotel suites at the end of alcohol-fueled political conferences, the women told the outlet.
