A Texas man was forced at gunpoint to get his girlfriend’s name tattooed on him just before he was shot dead and dumped in a drainage ditch, police say.
The body of Younis Hussain Alhassinyani was found dumped near Arlington, Texas, back on February 4 just days after his family reported him missing.
The 22-year-old was found with a gunshot wound to his neck.
Police have since charged four people in relation to his death, including Alhassinyani’s 28-year-old girlfriend Erika Perez.
They say a lengthy investigation into the bizarre crime revealed that Alhassinyani had been at his girlfriend’s apartment in Arlington for a late-night tattoo session the night he was shot dead.
A tattoo artist and four other men were also at the apartment, police said.

When police questioned Perez about her boyfriend’s whereabouts, she allegedly told officers that she had kicked him out after getting into an argument.
In court documents obtained by NBC, police said Perez seemed unaffected by the news that her boyfriend had been found murdered.
Police eventually interviewed the tattoo artist who said he had witnessed Perez and Alhassinyani getting into an argument about him seeing other women.
Perez allegedly ripped Alhassinyani’s shirt and then put tape over his mouth, which he later removed.
The tattoo artist’s account contradicted Perez’s claim that she then kicked him out.
Police found video on Perez’s phone that showed a shirtless Alhassinyani lying on a massage table as the tattoo artist worked on his back.
One of the other men, who was armed with a gun, then grabbed the tattoo gun and started allegedly defacing Alhassinyani’s tattoo.
Perez then allegedly demanded her name be tattooed on her boyfriend’s back.

The tattoo artist told police he didn’t object to what was happening because the men were armed.
Police the four men then said Alhassinyani would be leaving the apartment with them.
Alhassinyani asked if he could just call his relatives to take him home but the men refused, according to police.
Perez allegedly told the men: ‘Whatever you do to him, don’t do it here’.
The men then drove up a highway about 12 miles away and allegedly forced Alhassinyani to get out of the car.
He was then shot in the neck before the men allegedly dragged his body into a drainage ditch and fled the scene.
Alhassinyani’s family say they repeatedly went to Perez’s home in search of him after he stopped writing back to texts and answering calls.
Police said Perez reported his family to authorities for harassment.
The three men involved have now been charged with capital murder.
Perez has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated kidnapping, filing a false police report and failure to report a felony.
Alhassinyani was his mother’s only son. His father died two years ago from a terminal illness.
