Jim Molan, Erin Molan's father, announces he has 'aggressive' cancer

The politician father of TV and radio personality Erin Molan has announced he has been diagnosed with an ‘aggressive’ form of cancer. 

Liberal Senator for NSW and former general Jim Molan announced on Monday that he was stepping back from his work following the shocking diagnosis last week.

‘Whilst this news has come as a shock, I have many reasons to be positive,’ he said in a statement.

‘I am receiving the best possible care from my clinicians and have the love, support and prayers of my family.

‘I have never been afraid to fight the battles that need fighting and this is no exception.’
