Huge delays on a major Sydney highway after a disastrous truck crash that leaves the driver tapped in his cabin with critical head injuries

A truck crash has caused major delays on a freeway in Sydney’s south west during peak hour on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the M7 near Kurrajong Road in Casula at about 6.30am.

The truck driver was trapped in the cabin and suffered critical head injuries. 

All northbound lanes are closed on the M7.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area, use an alternative route and allow extra travel time.
