A woman has been rushed to hospital after being violently stabbed by a home invader.
The victim, aged in her 40s, was attacked by a man who entered her home in Scarsdale near Ballarat on Thursday afternoon.
He reportedly burst into the woman’s home on Browns Road at around 4:30pm before stabbing her in the upper body.
She has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A man in his 30s was arrested near to the woman’s home.
