Hilarious moment group of tradies use roadside speed sign to see who can run the fastest

  • Road workers used their site speed sign to see who could sprint the fastest
  • The signs are normally used to remind drivers to slow down in workzones
  • While they weren’t quite as fast as Usain Bolt at 20+kmph they were quite quick

A hilarious video has captured the moment a competitive group of tradies used a roadside speed sign to measure who could run the fastest.

The crew spent their ‘smoko’ lighting up the roadside in efforts to beat each others’ speed on the sign.

The signs are typically used to remind drivers of their speed in construction or residential zones of road.

All the workers posted impressive speeds except for the final run who failed to post a score

The video shows the road workers running past the sign as fast as they could.

Most speeds sat between 20-26 kmph.

While they’re a fair way off Usain Bolt who can run up to some 43 kmph their speeds were up with those of the average athlete.

The unfortunate bloke who ran last, however, failed hit a speed high enough to be recognised as a car.
