Speaking to GB News host Dan Wootton, former European Parliament member Ann Widdecombe declared her distrust towards Joe Biden’s warnings. The 79-year-old President has stated his administration believes a Russian invasion may come within “several days” and warns the risk is “very high”.
Mr Biden has also said that “every indication” showed Russia was “prepared to go into Ukraine”.
He added: “My sense is it will happen in the next several days.”
However, this warning comes just after the Ukrainian President predicted an attack could come as soon as February 16, which has since been dismissed.
The former MP for Maidstone and The Weald was asked by the Kiwi-born presenter what she expects to happen next “because Biden seems utterly convinced that there is going to be some form of invasion”.

“What is a small incursion? Is it what happened today?
“Is it if Russian troops go just a few yards over Ukraine’s border?
“I don’t really trust Biden, I’ve actually at this point got a greater trust in Boris and in Liz Truss who I think mean what they say.”
At present, Russia has amassed some 130,000 troops as well as tanks and other military units near Ukraine’s borders, though the Kremlin continues to deny invasion plans.
Many world leaders remain hopeful the situation can be resolved through diplomacy and Mr Biden and Boris Johnson remain hopeful there could still be a “crucial window” for peace talks and for Russia to step back from its threats towards Ukraine, according to a Downing Street statement.
A British Government spokesman said: “All the information we have suggests Russia could be planning an invasion of Ukraine at any moment without further warning.
“However, there is still opportunity for de-escalation, and for President Putin to step back and avoid a bloody and unnecessary war.”
