328 East 6th Street, located in the heart of Manhattan’s ‘Ukrainian Village’, currently has several listings for tiny one bedroom apartments for $1,600 and up – the only catch? Tenants must wash feet away from where they cook their meals. 

Listed as the ‘Best one bedroom deal in the East Village!’ the cramped 500 square-foot units feature bathtubs and showers in the living spaces and kitchen area.   

The average rent for a one bedroom apartment in the East Village is currently $2,475, a 20% decrease compared to the previous year, meaning these unusually laid-out apartments could technically be considered a bargain.
