Desperate search for missing six-year-old boy with Down syndrome after he disappeared Wednesday afternoon while playing in the mud

A six-year-old boy is missing from his home in northern New South Wales after disappearing while playing in the mud.
Braxton Plant, who has Down syndrome and is non-communicative, was last seen by family playing on Wallangra Road in Wallangra, a small village near the Queensland border, on Wednesday at 4pm.
Police have begun a land search, with officers saying they hold ‘serious fears’ for Braxton’s safety due to his age and medical conditions.

The little boy was not wearing any clothes and playing in mud when he was last seen, in an area with dense bushland and dams.
Investigators urge anyone who might have information about Braxton’s whereabouts to contact New England Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
