A Deliveroo driver who raped two vulnerable women inside their homes – including one with learning disabilities – has been jailed for 14 years.
Luis Calado, 28, of Worcester, sexually assaulted his first victim on July 8, 2018, but was not arrested until almost a year later, when she plucked up the courage to report him to the police.
Calado denied the attack and was released on bail pending further enquiries in July 2019 – before he raped another woman on August 10 last year.
Calado, who also worked for Just Eat, was sentenced to 14 years at Worcester Crown Court on Tuesday and must serve a minimum of nine years and four months.
He was also banned for life from approaching either of his traumatised victims, who were left suffering from nightmares following their respective assaults.
The court heard how after his initial arrest, Calado trolled his first victim on Facebook.
He bombarded her with messages in which he accused her of ‘lying’ about the attack before branding her a ‘filthy and disgusting human being’.
The ‘opportunistic’ fiend had knocked on her door and persuaded the vulnerable woman to let him inside, the court was told.

She had only recently begun living independently from her family when Calado raped her on the sofa while she was wearing her nightie.
Calado also persuaded the victim to give him her phone which he sold – keeping the money from the sale to himself.
It was almost 12 months later when Calado was arrested after the victim plucked up the courage to report him to the authorities.
But while on bail, he raped his second victim on August 10 last year.
The woman called police and Calado was arrested days later but denied rape.
Calado, of Worcester, was found guilty of assault by penetration and sexual assault against the first victim.
He was also convicted of rape and assault by penetration against the second victim at Worcester Crown Court.
On Tuesday he was jailed for total of 14 years and ordered to serve at least nine years and four months in prison.
Recorder Martin Butterworth blasted Calado for trolling his first victim with ‘foul abuse’ on Facebook adding that the attack was ‘cynical and quite deliberate’.
Describing the rape of the second victim, the judge said: ‘You identified her quite quickly as someone you could exploit.’
He added: ‘I’m entirely satisfied you identified these victims as young women who were, to different extents, vulnerable and you saw them as women you could sexually exploit and manipulate.’
The court heard Calado had a ‘propensity to sexually assault women’.
Prosecutor Giles Nelson told the court the first victim had learning disabilities.
He said: ‘She was susceptible to exploitation. The prosecution say just watching that video (of her interview), her vulnerability was manifest, frankly.
‘At the time of the attacks she had only just started living independently and was supported by her family.
‘Calado had knocked on a neighbour’s door when she came out and invited him inside.
‘He sexually assaulted her on the sofa while she was in her nightie.
‘The offence was opportunistic.’
He also went to her home the day after the attack.
Mr Nelson said: ‘She said he had effectively barged into her address on the morning after the sexual assault.’
After he was arrested, Calado called her ‘a filthy and disgusting human being’ on Facebook and said ‘she had lied to police by saying he had sexually assaulted her’.
Calado struck again when he targeted another vulnerable woman who was described in court as a ‘sitting duck’.
Mr Nelson said: ‘Sex was on his mind and he was going to get it, come what may.

‘Mr Calado totally ignored her protestations. He made no effort to establish whether she wanted what he was doing, made no effort to ascertain whether she was consenting.
‘He was more interested – or entirely interested – in his own gratification.
‘He is a man with a propensity to behave in this way towards women. In those moments she doubtless felt utterly powerless.’
After the rape, Calado bombarded the victim with phone calls and text messages in a bid to ‘intimidate her or normalise the situation between the two of them, knowing full well he had raped her,’ Mr Nelson said.
She eventually blocked his number before reporting him to police.
The court heard that both women described suffering nightmares following the attacks.
Calado was also slapped with a life-time restraining order banning him for having contact with either of his victims.
In July last year Calado was also found guilty of stealing a £1,200 bicycle when he was identified by his ginger hair.
