The boy’s friends turn on his attacker as he and several teens flee into nearby parkland.

The footage ends with several others, including the one armed with a baseball bat chasing after them.

‘I’ll be back bro,’ a teen can be heard saying in the footage.

The popular skate park is frequented by young children.

Local boxing coach Ken Dalton expressed his disgust on a community Facebook page after one of his students showed him the shocking footage.

‘The kids have obviously gone to a premeditated fight with a baseball bat because there’s no baseball in Redlynch,’ he posted.

Redlynch State College vice-captain Camdyn Ware also expressed bitterly disappointment in her fellow teens.

‘I wish I could say I am shocked at their repeated actions of recklessness and violence, but I’m not,’ she commented online.

‘It breaks my heart knowing that people in my demographic are causing immense harm and pain to the Redlynch community.’

She acknowledged the problems  troubled youths were facing in the community, including drug, alcohol, violence and behaviour issues.

‘But please know that there are good kids out there, who are trying to be considerate and respectful members of the Redlynch community. I’m truly sorry for the damage that has continuously been caused,’ Camdyn wrote.

The incident has not been reported to police and no charges have been laid.

Far North police Detective Acting Inspector Kevin Goan described the behaviour on the footage as unacceptable.

‘That blow to one of the parties on scene – the outcome could have been catastrophic in terms of one-punch legislation,’ he told the Cairns Post.

‘We have CCTV in the area to monitor the behaviour, but to turn up and film exclusively further depicts a degree of premeditation.’

Many gangs of eshays use social media to broadcast their wild antics.

Eshay is Aussie slang for packs of teenagers who haunt public places such as train stations and public parks stirring up trouble.

They are said to have spread from Sydney’s inner city graffiti scene in the 1980s through housing commission estates and out into the suburbs.

The gangs can be identified by their trademark designer sportswear and Nike TN trainers, as well as speaking their own coded language.
