Bukayo Saka on inflatable unicorn and the Queen laughing are among winners of BPPA 2021 awards

These striking shots make up the winners of the prestigious BPPA’s Press Photographer of the Year 2021.

The winning images were announced on March 4 and capture incredible moments that have etched their way into history through the eye of the lens.

One image depicts the moment England star Bukayo Saka is on an inflatable unicorn about to jump into a swimming pool at the St George’s Park training base, as the squad took a break in between matches at the Euro 2020 games.

Also included in the list of winners is the Queen in fits of laughter as she watched horses in the Parade Ring at Ascot, and the moment a woman ran up to Prince Andrew’s Range Rover near his Royal Lodge home in Berkshire back in December, and hammered on the glass .

Another moving image showcased the devastating impact of the pandemic, as family members are seen paying their respects next to the body of a close relative who died from Covid-19 at Manchester Central Mosque on February 24.
