In a tweet last month, she wrote: ‘The data shows we are NOT in a pandemic.

In an apparent reference to the Chinese Communist Party, she added: ‘CCP fake videos started this. It is ridiculous.’

Angela Rayner demanded the Prime Minister remove Baroness Morrissey from her role

Angela Rayner, Labour’s deputy leader, yesterday demanded the Prime Minister remove Baroness Morrissey from her role as a Government adviser.

She said: ‘Boris Johnson needs to wake up to the conspiracy theorists peddling dangerous misinformation from within the Conservatives and take action against Tory parliamentarians putting lives at risk by promoting and legitimising deadly conspiracy theories.’

Baroness Morrissey, who is a mother-of-nine, spent 15 years as the chief executive of Newton Investment Management.

She is well known for her work on inclusion and diversity and founded the 30 Per Cent Club, which campaigns for a better gender-balance on company boards.

Baroness Morrissey, No10 and the Foreign Office did not respond to requests for comment last night.
