The walk is famous for having a large population of wild koalas residing in the area, along with other animals such as wallabies, king parrots and kookaburras.
It is often visited by tourists, usually as a ideal rest stop when travelling along the Great Ocean Road.
The Kennett River Walk is one of the few spots in Australia designed for tourists and local residents to see a huge population of koalas in their natural habitat.
It is recommended on the Great Ocean Road Australia website that visitors do not feed or touch the animals on the walk.
