TalkRadio host Julia Hartley-Brewer snapped at Labour MP Peter Dowd over the issue of compulsory vaccine passports. Ms Harley-Brewer insisted that the MP was sitting on the fence about the issue and refusing to vehemently pick a side in the debate. She likened this tactic to the Labour Party leader, Sir Keir Starmer, who is regularly criticised for changing his mind on key issues.
Mr Dowd said: “For me, I think this whole issue about this compulsory system, not making people be required to do something.
“You are right, we have had vaccines and more of the population have been vaccinated.
“If a person wants to have a certificate or a passport because they feel better for having it, all they feel more secure, then so be it.
“But I don’t think we should be going down the path of compulsory.”

Ms Hartley-Brewer interrupted to insist that she was not happy with the Labour MP’s response.
She said: “With all due respect, I think you are doing a classic Keir Starmer here and you are sitting on the fence.
“This is one of the biggest moral, ethical issues facing our country going forward.
“Labour is being sort of ‘on the one hand and on the other hand. Do you believe in anything anymore?”
She added: “You don’t want the Government to bring it in as mandatory.
“But you also want the Government then to prevent pubs from doing it and not require pubs that don’t do it, retail or any other organisations or whatever.
“You want for it to be that there isn’t going to be a difference between if you have a vaccine passports and you don’t socially distance and if you don’t have them you do.
“You wouldn’t endorse that happening?”
Mr Dowd replied that the Government should not require anyone to do anything like that because it is a slippery slope.
