‘Apparently Cadbury thought a $25 would suffice for eating maggots,’ she captioned the clip.

But other social media users were divided over whether the mother’s anger was justified.

‘Get over it. Bad s**t happens, there’s children starving in Africa, and kids with cancer. Put it in the bin and get over it,’ one woman wrote.

‘What do you want 50 grand? Things happen in production lines all the time with all foods,’ wrote another.

‘Ok curious what do you think is fair imbursement,’ a third comment read.

But others were on the woman’s side, even blasting the situation as ‘traumatising’.

‘Why are people bullying her? Have I missed something??? That is bloody gross and I would be traumatised?’ Someone wrote.

‘Disgusting – thanks for sharing. $25 is not enough, I agree. Lucky you noticed before opening and eating and getting sick – completely and utterly gross,’ said another.
