Vlogger Jeff Wittek claims he was left with a 'broken skull and face' after David Dobrik stunt

Vlogger Jeff Wittek has said he was left with a ‘broken skull and face’ after YouTuber David Dobrik swung him around on a rope attached to an excavator for a stunt.

Wittek – a member of Dobrik’s Vlog squad – had in June last year shared pictures of injuries, including a bruised eye, without detailing how he suffered them.

He wrote then: ‘Sorry I haven’t posted any new pics of the mullet this week. I got in an accident and broke my face and skull in a few places. But I’m OK.

‘I’m more alive than ever. I’ll heal up good as new, and I’ll get some new pics of that mullet up as soon as they can get me a blow dryer up to my hospital room.’

On Wednesday he uploaded a clip to YouTube called How I Broke My Face which explained to fans how he had actually fallen from an excavator driven by Dobrik.

It has already been viewed more than 1.4 million times.

Footage of the incident shows the moments before Wittek lands face down in the shallow water as those watching the stunt rush to help him.

Wittek says: ‘I just jumped out of a plane 20 times, what’s the worst that could happen if I swing from a rope over a one-foot deep lake?

‘And yeah, I didn’t know I was going to go that fast. So I grabbed the f***ing rope and I tried to make a goddamn funny video for people. This was where I made a mistake.

‘I forgot that the biggest f***ing idiot I know was driving it.’

Dobrik, who has more than 18 million followers on YouTube, has not yet commented on the video. DailyMail.com has contacted a representative for comment.

He is well known for carrying out extreme pranks on YouTube and TikTok.

Wittek then details how members of the Vlog Squad - the name of the LA friends who work with Dobrik - met in Bear Lake in Utah where they each took turns to be swung round by an excavator driven by him

The footage of the accident begins with clips of Wittek and others skydiving for a separate stunt.

Dobrik already faced controversy in March of this year when a woman accused a former member of his Vlog squad of sexual assault.

He addressed the accusations in a YouTube video, telling fans: ‘Consent is something that’s super, super important to me.

‘I’ve been really disappointed by some of my friends, and for that reason I’ve separated from a lot of them… I’m sorry if I’ve let you down, and things like that won’t happen again.

‘And I learned from my mistakes and I also believe actions speak a lot louder than words. And you know, you can take my word for it that I’m going to change, but I’ll also show you and I’ll prove you that the mistakes I made before won’t be happening again.’

In August last year Dobrik purchased a new $9.5 million mansion in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley. The newly constructed mansion features six bedrooms, seven bedrooms, luxury amenities — and panoramic city, canyon, and mountain views.

Back in December, David posted an Instagram Story video begging his fans not to come to his home anymore.

‘This is crazy that I’m still making these stories,’ he said. ‘I literally feel like a broken record — I sound like my parents. But stop coming here, please. I don’t wanna have to move, but this is terrifying.’

The plea didn’t seem to work, however. In March, someone shared the address to David’s old home in a since-deleted Reddit post.
