Urgent recall issued for kids pool toy sold at Cotton On over fears of increased risk of drowning

A popular children’s pool toy sold at Cotton On has been recalled due to fears defects may increase the risk of drowning.

The Cotton On Kids baby swim ring does not meet the required safety standards for swimming and flotation devices, according to the recall.

The rings only have one inflation chamber instead of the required two and were not sold with the mandatory information booklets. 

The toys have also not been marked with the correct warning labels.

‘There is an increased risk of drowning if the product deflates during use or is not used correctly,’ Product Safety said.

‘Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return it to any Cotton On or Cotton On Kids store for a full refund.’
