Two people were injured in an explosion that ripped the front off of a Philadelphia home.  

Dozens of firefighters were at the scene of the blast at the row house in the city’s Northeast section around 1.30pm today. 

Footage from the scene shows Philadelphia Fire Department hosing down the exposed front of the home, as well as several fire fighters on the roof of the neighboring home.

According to FOX 29, a 61-year-old man was taken to a local hospital for injuries, his condition is not known

A second man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, FOX 29 reports.    

The apparent explosion occurred Tuesday afternoon, by 2 p.m. any firefighters extinguished the flames. 

The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined.
