Teenage girl, 15, is ‘raped in public toilet’ outside a supermarket in the middle of the day

  • Police have charged a man after allegedly followed and raped a 15-year-old girl
  • It is alleged that he followed her into a public toilet on Burgundy St in Melbourne
  • The man has been placed in custody and is due to appear in court on July 30

A man has been charged after he allegedly followed a 15-year-old girl into a public bathroom and raped her.  

Police will allege that he raped the teen after following her into a public toilet block near a supermarket on Burgundy Street in Melbourne at about 1.20pm on Friday. 

The 45-year-old man from Kew is facing charges of rape, sexual assault and false imprisonment. 

Police have the man in custody and he is due to appear in court on July 30 after allegedly raping a young girl in a public toilet

They allege that the man then walked the victim to a nearby hotel where she managed to alert staff before police were called. 

Soon after then man was arrested. 

The man was placed in custody to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on July 30.
