A busker who was live-streaming her performance has captured the moment she was confronted by a stranger who demanded to use her microphone.  

Ūla Venckutė had been performing on the streets in Sydney like any other night.

She had set up the camera on her phone to live-stream her singing so her fans could watch from the comfort of their homes.

Though her performance took a dark turn when a stranger approached her and insisted on using her microphone and musical equipment.

Ūla uploaded the footage to TikTok and explained she thought the stranger might have been on drugs.

‘No, no, no,’ Ūla says. ‘Please don’t touch my microphone.’

Ūla hides the microphone behind her back and brushes away the stranger’s hands as she tries to reach around and grab it.   

‘Please don’t touch my stuff,’ Ūla says. ‘Can you please not touch my microphone.’ 

Ūla explains in the video the woman wanted to ‘use my microphone and equipment and speak into it and for obvious reasons I didn’t want her to.’

A friend of the stranger then intervenes and pulls the woman away, but not before she tries to break free.

The video has been viewed more than 44,000 times since it was uploaded to TikTok.

Social media users were quick to praise the singer for the way she handled the situation.

‘You handled that like a boss,’ one person commented.

Another person said: ‘I’m glad there were people there to help you, glad that everything was okay.’
