Speaker erupts as MPs not wearing masks in Commons 'We'll have to suspend!'

House of Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle brought the Commons to a standstill in a tense standoff. Chancellor of Duchy Lancaster Michael Gove was due to speak in defence of accusations against Boris Johnson over comments it is alleged he said regarding lockdown. As Mr Hoyle was about to allow SNP spokesperson Alison Thewlis to address Mr Gove, the Speaker stopped the proceedings.

Mr Hoyle warned the MPs that if they did not put on their masks the session would have to be suspended.
