Scott Morrison gets a surprise delivery at mansion

‘Welding for dummies’ book dropped off at Scott Morrison’s mansion in Sydney after THAT blunder which almost ended in disaster

  • The Chaser paid special visit to PM Scott Morrison at Kirribilli House this week
  • Was hoping to drop off a gift to help improve the Prime Minister’s welding skills
  • Warned there will be more trade accidents after being turned away by police

Scott Morrison has been ruthlessly mocked again over his recent welding blunder which almost ended in disaster.

Australian satirical comedy group The Chaser paid a special visit to the Prime Minister’s home at Kirribilli House in the exclusive Sydney suburb hoping to personally deliver a copy of the ‘Welding for Dummies’ handbook.

They had hoped Mr Morrison would gratefully accept the kind gift following his ill-fated attempt at the trade during a visit to a Alice Springs factory on Saturday, where he lifted the protective safety mask covering his eyes just as he unleashed a blinding flash from a welding torch.

In their latest stunt, The Chaser comedian impersonated a postman and got as far as pressing the intercom at the front gate before he was confronted by an undercover policewoman.

‘Hey guys, what are you doing? I’m just with NSW Police,’ the plain-clothed officer asks.

‘Oh great.  I’ve got a delivery for Scott Morrison. It’s Welding for Dummies,’ the comedian replies while showing her the book.

He was ordered to move on by the unamused policewoman who refused an offer to pass on the gift to the Prime Minister.

‘How do I get this to him though?’ the disappointed ‘postman’ asks.

‘You won’t be,’ the police officer replied.

The comedian eventually obliges and walks away but not before having the final say.

‘There’s gonna be more welding accidents,’ he called out.

‘That’s f****d.’

The Chaser uploaded footage of the stunt online and was flooded with comments from amused viewers.

‘More vids like this!! Just like the old Chasers TV show,’ one appreciative fan commented.

Another quipped: ‘Safety first always!’

Others believe the stunt wasn’t a prank and was part of a public service.

Some believe police would have seen the funny side afterwards.

‘The cops would have p****** themselves laughing as soon as he left,’ one quipped.

Mr Morrison’s disastrous attempt at welding comes after he recently tried his hand at washing hair at a salon while on the election campaign trail.

He also was mercifully mocked for his ukulele rendition of Dragon classic hit April in Cuba on 60 Minutes last week.
