Ruff day? Delivery driver watches helplessly as dog rips parcel apart before hiding in his van to eat his lunch

A devilish dog has sent a delivery man spiraling as it ran around a yard tearing a package apart before hiding in his van to eat his lunch.
A delivery man left a package at the base of front porch steps outside a home in Avon, Connecticut, last November.
Footage taken on the doorbell camera captured the moment the delivery man, who wore a FedEx jacket, rang the bell to try to get the homeowner’s attention.
Behind him the dog shows an increasing interest in the parcel before grabbing it with its teeth as the man headed back down the stairs.

The delivery man then just watched on hopelessly as the dog galloped around the grass yard with the package between its teeth.
He shouted ‘hello’ to try to speak to the owner as his concern for the welfare of the parcel grew.
As the package was ripped apart the hapless driver lunged towards the dog.
When the home’s owner pulls his car into the drive the dog leaps out of the van to greet him, leading the delivery driver to shout ‘I was like “what the heck is going on”? Oh you were in my truck the whole time’

The clip then cuts to another angle showing the driver stood next to his white van with the destroyed parcel in his hand.
He puts the parcel down on a bin as he looks around for the now missing dog.
When the home’s owner pulls his car into the drive the dog leaps out of the van to greet him, leading the delivery driver to shout ‘I was like “what the heck is going on”? Oh you were in my truck the whole time’.
His owner later said: ‘My dog takes the package and runs around the yard.
‘The deliveryman is confused. Then the same delivery guy can’t find the dog, he then realizes he was actually in his truck the whole time…eating his lunch.’
