A former netball coach has been charged with sexually touching two girls at a church in Sydney’s Beverly Hills.

The 70-year-old man has already been charged with abusing three teenage girls known to him.

The further alleged offences were uncovered after following an initial investigation by New South Wales’ Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad.

 In December, detectives arrested the elderly man at Kogarah Police Station and charged him with nine offences. He remains before the court.

As part of ongoing investigations, police received further reports that two girls were sexually touched by a man at a church in Beverly Hills between December 2016 and December 2020.

Following extensive inquiries, the 70-year-old man was arrested at Hurstville Police Station about 8.15am on Thursday.

He was taken to Kogarah Police Station where he was charged with two counts of indecent assault person under 16 years of age, assault with act of indecency and sexually touch another person without consent.

The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on April 13.
