A young mum and her two children have been found four days after they left a Sydney hospital while being treated for serious injuries following a house fire. 

An urgent search was launched by police after Sarah Cooper, 26, left The Children’s Hospital at Westmead with her two young children Louis, four, and Ivar, one, ­on Sunday.

Officers were concerned about the trio because the children were receiving medical treatment following the blaze.

NSW Police on Thursday morning confirmed the 26-year-old mum and her two sons were located safely at a home in Metford. 

Metford is a suburb of Maitland, near Newcastle, and is about 1.5 hours drive north of Westmead, in Sydney’s west. 

‘A 26yo woman and two children, aged four and one have been found safe a short time ago at a home in Metford,’ police said in an updated. 

‘Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal for help!’
