The TV weather report was supposed to inform viewers about the arrival of spring in Moscow.

But video shows the moment a passing dog stole the show by leaping up and grabbing the reporter’s microphone from her grasp.

Mir TV weather reporter Nadezhda Serezhkina can be seen running after the Labrador Retriever to try and recover the equipment in the Sparrow Hills overlooking the Russian capital. 

Serezhkina had started the live broadcast by telling the studio presenter: ‘Hello Elina, spring has arrived in Moscow, the temperature will be 8 degrees Celsius, nine degrees Celcius…’

But at this moment the cheeky dog jumps up, knocks the unsuspecting reporter backwards, and makes a grab for her microphone before running off with it. 

Serezhkina can be seen running after the Labrador retriever whilst shouting ‘Stop, stop, come here!’ 

But the dog continues its escape and viewers on Mir TV – a channel broadcasting to the countries of the old Soviet Union – are left to watch in amazement.     

Back in the studio, Elina Dashkueva, 27, looked momentarily stunned before explaining that ‘given all this’ the connection was lost.

Nadezhda is then seen alongside the proud-looking dog trying to continue her weather report as best she can

She informed viewers to expect that April will be ‘less capricious’ than March, though rain was likely.

Soon she told watchers that ‘no-one was injured, but the microphone took a bite or two’, as a close up image proved.

‘Elina, as I said, the weather is truly perfect, just right for walking your dogs…..That’s all from me.’

‘Stay with us, it’s interesting,’ said Elina. ‘Nadezhda Serezhkina was on a direct link with us when a dog made it on our live broadcast.’

Nadezhda is then seen shaking the dog’s paw.
