Horrific scenes as woman sitting in her parked car is STABBED and then dragged down a Melbourne road for 100 metres – as cops release footage and hunt for carjacker

  • A woman, 46, was allegedly attacked in a Glen Waverley carjacking on March 17
  • She was sitting in her car on Kerrie Rd about 8.40pm when two men approached
  • She was allegedly stabbed then dragged 100metres down the road by the Mazda
  • A boy, 17, has been arrested – CCTV released in hopes to identify the other male

A woman sitting in her parked car has allegedly been stabbed and dragged down a road for 100 metres in a horrific carjacking in Melbourne.   

The 46-year-old woman was sitting in her parked Mazda CX-9 on Kerrie Road, Glen Waverley, about 8.40pm on March 17 when she was approached by two men.

The first man jumped into the vehicle on the passenger side and allegedly held a knife to the victim.

The second man then opened the driver door and demanded the woman get out before allegedly stabbing her in the hand.

But as the woman tried to exit the car, she became stuck in the seat belt.

The second man got in and started driving away, and the victim was allegedly dragged around 100 metres along the road.   

She eventually fell from the car and was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.   

Detectives arrested a 17-year-old Roxburgh Park teenager on 25 March and charged him with 19 offences including aggravated carjacking.

He was remanded to appear before a children’s court at a later date.

But detectives are yet to identify the second male involved and have released CCTV footage of a male they would like to speak with as part of their investigation.

He is perceived as African in appearance, about 183 centimentres tall and was wearing a black puffer jacket and light grey tracksuit pants.
