‘Absolute moron’ is spotted casually hitching a ride down a freeway on an axle between two truck trailers

A man has been captured on camera sitting in an axle between two truck trailers as the B-double vehicle travelled down a busy freeway. 

Footage of the shocking incident was posted to Reddit after being filmed on the Monash Freeway in Melbourne on Tuesday. 

The man can be seen sitting upright in a nonchalant manner and facing forward as the truck travels along the freeway, which has speed limits of up to 100km/h. 

Only one of his hands clings to the axle while the other rests in his lap.

It is not clear how long he was travelling in between the two truck trailers or if the driver was even aware of the man’s actions. 

One person commented on the Reddit post about the man’s actions: ‘Absolute f**king moron’. 

‘Dad’s mate ended up walking between a truck and it’s trailer to jaywalk (same spot the dude’s sitting) truck went over him now he’s blind among other minor permanent injuries.’

Another said: ‘What in the holy what the… Please tell me you ether called the police or stopped/waved down the truck driver.’

Daily Mail Australia contacted Victoria Police for comment.
