Man hit by a Mitsubishi Lancer at Cleveland street intersection in Darlington, Sydney


Security footage shows the horrific moment a pedestrian is hit by a white Mitsubishi Lancer and flung off the hood of the car at a busy intersection

A pedestrian has miraculously survived after being hit by a car driven by a teenager while crossing a busy intersection in Sydney. 

A 32-year-old man was walking across the Cleveland and Abercrombie street intersection in Darlington on Tuesday at about 4.20pm when a white Mitsubishi Lancer slammed into him.

The man appeared to spot the vehicle moments before impact and attempted to jump away, but he wasn’t fast enough and was instead thrown onto the hood of the car.

The victim was treated by paramedics for a suspected head injury before he was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition.   

The 19-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer was uninjured, NSW Police said.  

An investigation is ongoing and police have urged anyone who has video footage or information to get in contact.
