A western Sydney wedding got so out of control that police were forced to intervene and charge three guests with ‘risking lives’ after guests wreaked havoc in a suburban neighbourhood.

More than 100 wedding guests spilled out onto Sheffield Street in Auburn last Friday at 11.40am to watch as three men performed burn outs.

Aerial footage from the wild celebrations captured plumes of smoke billowing into the air.

Dozens of glamourously-dressed guests filmed as three men driving a Holden Commodore, a Nissan Silvia and a Ford Falcon revved their engines up and down the street.

The commotion grabbed the attention of local police who broke up the event.

The three cars sped away from the scene as officers arrived.

‘The smoke caused significant visibility issues for the other road users at the time and put the lives of the wedding guests at risk,’ NSW Police said in a statement.

On Sunday, two of the drivers were charged with a number of serious offences and were issued with court attendance notices for aggravated burnouts.

The men, aged 22 and 24, also had their drivers’ licenses suspended.

Police also caught a third man who owned one of the cars, but it’s not believed he was behind the wheel at the time of the wedding.

The man was charged for ‘failing to disclose the details of the driver of his vehicle’.

Police are still on the hunt for the third driver.
