‘He even made himself a Milo’: Bizarre scenes as thief breaks into a butcher and cooks himself a HUGE meat feast with expensive pork cutlets and beef ribs – but leaves without taking a bite

A manhunt is underway for a brazen thief who broke into a butcher shop and cooked himself a feast with meat worth hundreds of dollars.
The hungry robber broke into Marshalls Quality Meats at a shopping precinct in Langwarrin, in inner-city Melbourne around 11pm on April 5.
The man spent just under two hours preparing and cooking various cuts of meat, before giving the store a quick clean and letting himself out.

Store manager Scott Little told Daily Mail Australia he opened the shop on the morning of Easter Monday to find ‘a hell of a mess’.
‘He decided to play butcher, try his hand at something different’, he joked.
Mr Little, who is celebrating two decades as a butcher this year, said it had taken him several minutes to realise someone had broken into the shop.
‘It was one of those moments where I thought, what the hell is this?’, Mr Little said.
However, once he started watching the store’s CCTV footage, it all became clear.

In the footage the man is seen marinating the meat and then cooking a selection of expensive cuts of filet mignon, pork cutlet and porterhouse steak.
The amateur chef even tried his hand at smoking some beef ribs and heated up some chicken Kiev in the microwave.
Mr Little said it didn’t seem like the man knew what he was doing, as he didn’t close the oven properly and left most of the food half-cooked.
‘He even made himself a Milo in the back room,’ the veteran butcher said.
‘He really made himself at home.’

In another bizarre twist, Mr Little said he doesn’t think the man ate any of the meat, instead choosing to don a cleaning apron and start tidying up the store.
Frankston Police believe the intruder stole approximately $410 in cash and a Holden car key, which was later found a small distance from the shop.
The male offender has been described as between 40 and 50 years of age, Caucasian and wearing a white striped hooded jumper, black and white striped pants, black shoes and a black hat.
Police have released images of a man they believe can assist in their enquiries.
