A woman has died after she was hit by a truck at Lake Macquarie, in the Hunter Region of New South Wales.
Emergency crews were called to the M1 at Cameron Park, near the Newcastle Link Road, just after 9pm on Thursday.
Witnesses attempted to perform CPR on the female pedestrian but she died at the scene.

She is yet to be formally identified.
Police arrived and established a crime scene, which has since been forensically examined.
A 23-year-old man behind the wheel of the truck was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers have now begun their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
