Barack and Michelle Obama joined the cream of Hollywood including Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw and Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa, and Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson for elite A-lister party that carried on until well after midnight.

The hosts, who marked their 33rd wedding anniversary on Friday, may have decided to turn the occasion into a weekend-long celebration by inviting some of Hollywood’s most powerful for a lowkey dinner at their home, in a quiet cul de sac.

And it appears they were enjoying themselves as the celebs didn’t head home until past midnight – though non of the guests appeared worst for wear as they left the mansion.

The former president and first lady appear to have made the leap from politics to entertainment with their documentary partnership deal with Netflix via their Higher Ground Productions company, and multiple best selling books.

Secret Service agents were spotted around the elite LA neighborhood ahead of the former president and first lady’s arrival.

In keeping with the rules for former presidents, which prevents them from driving themselves on public roads, Barack kept his hands off the wheel as he and Michelle were chauffeured home in a six-car motorcade.

Barack, wearing a blue blazer, gray polo shirt and khakis, and Michelle, in a gold sequined dress, seemed absorbed in their phones as they pulled out of the gate.

Meanwhile, Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw had no such qualms. Kate, wearing a black blazer and fedora hat, pulled out of the driveway with the Jurassic Park director next to her in the passenger seat.

Spielberg appears to share his wife’s predilection for headgear, and donned a blue number, which he wore with a maroon velvet jacket and a silk scarf.

‘The Boss’ Springsteen and his wife Patti kept it a little more simple, with the Born in the USA singer in a white shirt and black jacket, while his wife donned all black.

However, their driver added a little flair of luxury with a Gucci branded face mask.
