The cyclist, who is believed to be in Holland, was completely absorbed by whatever was playing on his phone that he was unaware of the stationary van up ahead.
The rider smashed into the back of the van and bangs its rear door with his face as he is thrown over the handlebars.
Despite the impact, he manages to keep hold of his phone and does not drop the handset on the ground.
