  • A Brisbane man was charged with 51 stealing-related offences on Monday 
  • Officers raided the 34-year-old’s home and found goods he allegedly stole  
  • Police are now searching for the owners of the items retrieved from home  

Dozens of items including Adidas bags, designer purses and iPhones have been recovered from the property of a man alleged to have stolen the goods from homes and businesses.

The 34-year-old man’s home in Zillmere, Brisbane’s north, was raided by police on Monday as part of an investigation into a string of thefts in the city. 

The man was arrested and charged with a total of 51 stealing-related offences.

Stolen items recovered by police

Several backpacks were found inside the Zillmere home

Several backpacks were found at the Zillmere home, along with a variety of items that included binoculars and screwdrivers   

Police allege the man stole two iPads used for ordering food from the front counter at a café in Taigum in December last year. 

He is also alleged to have stolen multiple wallets over several months and used the victim’s credit cards to make a number of purchases.  

A large number of goods were found by police under a staircase in the man’s home on Monday, including bags, wallets, keys, sim cards and headphones, alleged to have been stolen. 

Police are now appealing for the public’s help to track down the owners of the goods and have released images of the items in the hope they can be identified.

The man was charged with 18 counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, 20 counts of fraud and 13 counts of receiving tainted property.

He appeared before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
