A Bondi Beach local’s attempt at selling his couch on Facebook has not gone to plan after commenters noted the abundance of white stains covering the seat.
The man posted the listing to a resident’s social media group on Wednesday night hoping to sell the ‘marble blue’ lounge for a discounted $200, knocking off nearly half the original cost of $320.
Potential buyers were less enthusiastic about the potential purchase however, with many suggesting he should pay them to take it.
‘I’ve seen less stains on a painter’s radio,’ one person replied.

The two-seater lounge, which the seller described as ‘marble blue’, appears to be more of a worn-grey.
Several large white stains cover the couch’s material, both on the seats and arm rests.
The post has accrued more than 150 comments through Thursday morning, with several asking if the owner is being serious.

‘That ain’t marble blue that’s mouldy blue,’ another replied.
One carpet cleaning company even used the opportunity to promote their business, suggesting they ‘can save it’.
